Structure and Working Principle

Working Principle: During charging, the external voltage causes the lithium ions in the positive electrode to deintercalate, flow through the electrolyte and across the separator, and intercalate into the negative electrode. At the same time, the electrons in the positive electrode also flow to the negative electrode through the external circuit, and the battery voltage continuously rises until it reaches the charging cut-off voltage. During discharging, the lithium ions deintercalate from the negative electrode, flow through the electrolyte and across the separator, and intercalate into the positive electrode again. The electrons in the negative electrode also flow to the positive electrode through the external circuit, and the battery voltage continuously decreases until it reaches the discharging cut-off voltage.
